hey guys....here are some of the rules that me and tingxin expect from you:
<1>if you want someone else to sub you for duty, pls do it on ur own and inform us...unless you really need our help
<2>girls, no short skirts please^.^
<3>if you have section meeting thats really important and before 7.10am, you have to go for the meeting and let us know if you'll be late
<4>those not having any duty, its necessary for you to do section duty or either attend flag raising
<5>try not to study in go, if you want, go and sit on the steps outside
<6>and MOST IMPORTANTLY, DON'T LAUGH WHEN YOU ARE MAKING ANNOUNCEMENTS!!!even if its really funny, you have to remain decorum kayz...
and even myself feel that we're not really bonded nowadays, maybe its due to the step up thing...but we'll have to jiayous nad LOVE EACH OTHER!!!haha....oh ya....btw i f you have any ideas for section tee, pls shareXD

~~Good morning school,~~ here are some announcements:-

Update on PE days: The new sch term is here, which brings along new duty lists!!! do keep me updated on the days that u wil b having PE so u will not need to bring ur damn uniform 2 the G.O & change after FRC:)
Photos: whoever has the pic tt u all took during sec1 registration, pls upload it here. we r really short of pics!!! rmb, our blog cannot lose 2 section 5 in terms of activity!!! (oops!)
concerns the sec2s (i mean the sec3s nxt yr). u all will b doing PC duty for a period 1 week fr the day sch reopens. this is 2 allow the sec1s (or sec2s nxt yr) to b more bonded 2 their actual section (although section zero rox more=))
last one. reminder for expected behaviour & attire when u step into G.O for duty. the following is the checklist. do revise it. haha.

Basic Rules
§ There will be section zero meeting every Tuesday. All Public Communications Personnel to reach G.O by 7.05am and go for your section duty if you are not on PC duty that day at 7.15am.
§ If you cannot do your duty on certain days, inform any one of the seniors the night before and find your own replacement for duty.
§ Attire must be 100% neat when you report for duty.
§ All PCP to report at 7.05am for PA duty, 7.10am for flag raising and pledge taking duty.
§ PCP are strictly NOT allowed to come to the GO on non-PC duty days.
§ On Mondays when you have section meetings, report to the GO at 7.15a.m if you are on duty that day.
§ Regardless of the weather PCP have to report for duty at the usual time.
§
* Public Address duty rules
- Switch on the uppermost player for music once you reach GO.
- Adjust the music to a suitable volume.
- Once the music is played, go to the HOD room to collect 2 walkie talkies from Mr Soon’s table and switch it on.
- Hold on to the walkie talkie at all times and be alert.
- At 7.15am, stop the music.
- At 7.26am, play “William Tell” at the lower player unless Mr Chua instructs to “wait for his command”
- Pause the CD after William Tell (3.15mins) and wait for the councillor on pledge taking duty to get the school at attention, then resume the CD and let it run.
- Do not tune the volume control while the CD is playing.
- Switch off the player and return the walkie talkies after FRC.
In case of rain...
- Follow steps 1-5, but after the music stops, the pledge taker is supposed to make announcement through the general microphone in GO that there will be no FRC that day at about 7.20am. Other announcements to be made a few times after that.
- On Tuesdays when the band plays, stop and witch off the player after “Willam Tell”

Flag- Raising duty rules
ü Once you reach the GO, put the flag at stand-by position upstairs.
-make sure the flag does not touch the ground
- National flag must be up before school flag.
ü At 7.20am, check the flag again and then get ready with your ties.
ü Raise the flag with the music. Do not rush and avoid being too slow.
ü After the literal flag raising, wait for FRC to end downstairs if there is too many people upstairs.
In case of rain...
ü Raise the flag all the way up by 7.15am if the rain is not too heavy.
ü If the rain is too heavy, get it up during recess or wait for seniors’ instructions.

Pledge-taking duty rules
Ø Lay out the announcement book on the table when you reach the GO.
Ø Read through all announcements by 7.20am and do a microphone test upstairs.
Ø After flag-raising, return the book and microphone to the GO.
In case of rain...
Ø Carry out Step 1 and use the general microphone at GO to make announcement about no FRC by 7.15am.
Ø Make all announcements at about 7.25am and repeat a few times.

hey guys!!!erin here...just posting something to make this blog look full as though its been a long time since it was founded.anyway...we must really thank our dearest YIJIE for making this blog! Anybody wanna organise the next pc outing? ok la the last one was quite a failure cause there was only a little bonding time together, maybe we could go cycling or ice skating or something. jeremiah says that he will teach us ice skating!!By the way, for your information, there is a new shopping centre at kallang with cinema, ice skating ring and lots more!!So maybe we can go there some time or after school one day..umm..i dont know what to write liao, so that's all for now!
